Icy Beauty



Did I tell you my husband cuts gemstones? This one is 'specially special since we actually found the garnet he cut at Ruby Reservoir up near Yellowstone Park.

    He's very accomplished as the stone is beautifully polished and set in the necklace.

    Yes. A garnet is very hard to facet because the stone is so dark.

      This looks like a ruby, but it's actually a garnet. It could pass in a pinch, I think.
