Paris in July: Paris-ish Things in My Home

I love Paris. My family and friends know that I love Paris. I live far away from Paris. Whenever my family and friends see something Paris-ish, they often bring these home to me. Whenever I see something Paris-ish, I bring it home.

Here are some of the Paris-ish things I have.

  2. Great selection! I'm not sure my Mona Lisa collection is really as Paris oriented as your many Eiffel Towers. I hadn't considered that French cookbooks are a type of Paris thing.

It's neat that your friends bring you souvenirs -- Paris itself is loaded with shops that sell Paris souvenirs of many types. You didn't depict any refrigerator magnets, which are another possibility.

Me? I tell folks I'm part Scottish, Irish, English, and French because that's the family story. And I've found a Derrieux great-great-great-great-grandmother (maybe five "greats" there) in my family tree. Not very French, exactly, but it's the first thing that came to mind.

  7. I've wanted to visit Paris since I was young. Even so, I don't have one Paris-y thing. All my things are related to the beach.

  9. Fun! Neither my husband nor I have ever been to Paris, but he collects Eiffel Tower statues. He's got a bunch of them, including a huge one he built out of Legos. It's pretty impressive!

  10. I don't like Paris anymore, it was nice long time ago today it isn't anymore. Even the French don't like Paris. I have spent 2 weeks helping a friend moving to Paris, buying furniture etc and also visiting the city, after that, I never went back there, it is dirty and people are not friendly at all ! And I speak French if you speak English nobody they run away ! I live in Belgium. Brussels has more and more tourists now, just because of that !

  11. That's quite a collection you've gathered over the years! Nice to see how much you love Paris. I've yet to see France, so, perhaps, once I do, I too might bring along mementoes with a Paris-connection, like you do.

Thank you for sharing these pictures and for joining us this week.

  12. Great Post - thanks for sharing this about your love of Paris. I think if I was to pay attention to how much of Paris i do have I could come up with some interesting stories... When we love being in a place, we like to bring bits of it home to remind us.

  13. I love these glimpses of your Parisy things. I really like your Eiffel Tower lamp. I've got a big Tower, but it's not a lamp. I'm not sure if any of these comments are appearing. Hopefully!
