Arizona!

If all goes well, we are off in Arizona, hiking, resting, relaxing.

I am just taking two books along with me to Arizona. I've got one fiction book, These is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901, Arizona Territories. And I've got one nonfiction book, Dreams of El Dorado: A History of the American West

I also posted A List of Nonfiction Classics on The Classics Club blog.

Hiking. Taking photos. Drawing.
I'm keeping a little journal during the trip.

Good Thing #1: The election is over, and the good guys won.
Good Thing #2: I'm off in Arizona.
Good Thing #3: I'm not thinking about the election or the coronavirus or hurricanes.

I'm happy you found your way to the Sunday Salon. Sunday Salon is a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. It's a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

Some of the things we often talk about at the Sunday Salon:

  • What was your week like?
  • Read any good books? Tell us about them.
  • What other bookish things did you do?
  • What else is going on in your life?

Other places where you may like to link up over the weekend are below. Click on the picture to visit the site.

  16. A few years ago, I spent some lovely time in Arizona...mostly Sedona. So peaceful and colorful. Enjoy!

I'm very happy about the election results...and holding my breath that some measure of peace will come, but unlikely during the transition.

    Enjoy your week!

  17. I hope you have a wonderful, safe time in Arizona!

A nonfiction book I read about the American West and really enjoyed was Lasso the Wind by Timothy Egan. Now that I've spent more time out here, I might re-read it because it was so fascinating.

Not worrying about covid, the election, or hurricanes sounds like a great vacation to me.

    Enjoy your week!

  27. I hope you have a nice time in Arizona. Nothing much happening here. It's so cold! Was only 32 degrees this morning. I am starting a new book for club, An American Marriage. Not sure I am in the mood for it but the meeting is next week so it must be read.

I loved These Is My Words. I'm almost ready to read it for the third time. Captain Jack is such a memorable character!
