Book Blogger Hop: Bonjour!

Book Blogger Hop





I'm back at the Hop for the first time since March.
I'm trying Follow Friday and for the first time.
I will be visiting a lot of book blogs today!

Let me introduce myself for those who have not met me.

Bonjour! Enchanté!  I am debnance at readerbuzz.
I spent seventeen days in France this summer and
I feel like I am a new person.
Je suis nouveau.

So what do I like to read?  I want to read
the best books. I like books that surprise me.
I like books with wonderful vocabularies. I like books
 that make me think.
 I like books that reveal the world to me.
 J'aime les bons livres.


I love to read children's books, travel narratives,
literary fiction, spiritual books,
books about happiness, history books, cookbooks,
books about education, and creative nonfiction.
I never read genre fiction or
nonfiction that reads like a textbook.

The question of the week: Do you listen to music when you read?
If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?
I have been listening to French music for months. Pandora is my favorite spot.
I have a station there named La Vie en Rose. Join me, if you like.
Oh, and I love to listen to SportsRadio610 in Houston.
Listen from 2-7 pm CST and you might hear my son, Ben Nance.

    Blog hopping, here. I do like it quiet when I read, although it doesn't necessarily have to be silent. I can read in public, at the beach, on an airplane, in a waiting room. But the quieter the better. Putting you on my blog roll.

    I'm now following you on my Google Reader :) J'adore Paris!!!! You should check out La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast if you ever have the chance. I spent 4 months there and miss it so much! I will be checking out the Pandora station you mentioned :)

    You have a wonderful blog as well. We share a lot of common interests. Top on the list:music, books and travel. Paris is in my top 10 favorite cities in the world. I have only been to Auvignon in Provence and that was certainly charming!! Following you, of course!!!

    17 days in France. I just may die of envy. What an amazing experience that must have been! I can't imagine how you come down off that high and go back to a normal life, but I hope the rest of your summer isn't too dull in comparison!

    Thanks for stopping by The Prairie Library yesterday! My mom loves French "cafe" music. She plays it a lot when I'm home. It's fun. I hardly ever use online radios. My husband is very into music so we have a huge selection at home. So, I tend to not listen to the radio very often. But I suspect online radios offer a greater variety. Anywho, have a great weekend!

    I absolutely LOVE the cover band Nouvelle Vague, have you heard of them? They played in my hometown Utrecht a few months back and it was such an amazing show! Really great.
