Paris in July: A Morning Picnic at the Eiffel Tower

We wait until the last day to visit the Eiffel Tower.

We plan a picnic. A breakfast picnic.

We walk and walk. We do not see the Eiffel Tower.

We go around a corner and suddenly there it is. The Eiffel Tower.

It is early.

Do you notice anything?

Yes, there are no people.

We enjoy the Eiffel Tower alone. It is all ours.

  1. Wow, you've seen the Eiffel-tower! Morning is the best time...
I'm living in Europe, but I never was in Paris, as a disabled person with a very small pension can only travel by reading blogs.

  3. I love that one pic where you walk down that alleyway and see the tower. It just comes up on you! I've never been to Paris. I have always wanted to go but two of my friends went recently and had bad experiences with theft, etc. They aren't naive either but they said everywhere they went pickpockets were the norm and they don't even know each other. Totally separate trips. Has me second guessing a visit.
