Birdwatching on the Beach

  1. Such a pleasant title, and the pictures did not disappoint! I especially like the close-up of the seagull (?) with tufted black hair, and the last pic with the bird lifting their leg. Is that some kind of heron?

  3. Wow Debs! They look so professional (the photos, not the birds. Although I guess they are all professional in birding as well).

Keep these photos for post headers and things! Gorgeous. Hope you enjoyed your walk on the beach and that you are having a good week.

  7. I love watching seagulls yours are look not exactly the same as the once I see on the English coasts ! They are noisy and naughty and funny to watch ! I have to cover my sandwich otherwise they would steel it ! And I love hearing them when I woke up in the mornings ! Reminds me holidays !

  9. What a fabulous flock. Are those all gull varieties? I've never seen the ones with the black on the face before. They are splendid!

    1. I wish I knew more about birds. I seem to remember someone pointing out laughing gulls, some sort of terns, and willets (the solitary bird with long legs).

  10. It would be nice to spend an afternoon watching the birds on the beach or simply catching the sun slip over the horizon. Great photo op. Thanks for joining me on my #WildWednesdays linky party, my dear. Have a fototastic day!

  11. Great pictures of those shorebirds, Deb! We've seen a lot of pelicans, oyster catchers, as well as the usual seagulls.
