Butterflies

Photos of some of the butterflies I've taken this spring
for the Texas Butterfly Monitoring study.
Do you see any of these where you live?
Which one do you think is the most beautiful?

  1. I've never seen so many different varieties. Around here we see The Monarchs, Black Swallowtail, Little Yellows, and the red admirals mostly. Pretty post collage Deb, thanks for sharing.

  2. Photographing butterflies can be a challenge, one that you seem to have overcome. Wonderful pictures.

  3. I've seen a few Monarch's here. I'm not sure if I would be able to identify most others, but you seem to have been able to capture their beauty.

  6. Simply beautiful shots. We get mostly Tortoiseshells and Cabbage Whites here, but the one I most love to see is the Red Admiral.

  7. We see Monarchs now and then but this year, for us anyway, we haven't had many butterflies. Probably due to the lack of rain. We had a few weeks where everything was blooming and now everything is dry again.
