I've never seen so many different varieties. Around here we see The Monarchs, Black Swallowtail, Little Yellows, and the red admirals mostly. Pretty post collage Deb, thanks for sharing.
Great photos and I'm so impressed by all the varieties you've captured! I love seeing butterflies in our garden but haven't seen as many this spring. Hopefully we'll see more soon!
We see Monarchs now and then but this year, for us anyway, we haven't had many butterflies. Probably due to the lack of rain. We had a few weeks where everything was blooming and now everything is dry again.
Can never have enough of butterflies and thanks for posting an entire collection, Deb. Been a while since I saw you on #WordlessWednesday/#WednesdayWisdom

ReplyDeletePhotographing butterflies can be a challenge, one that you seem to have overcome. Wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few Monarch's here. I'm not sure if I would be able to identify most others, but you seem to have been able to capture their beauty.

Simply beautiful shots. We get mostly Tortoiseshells and Cabbage Whites here, but the one I most love to see is the Red Admiral.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterflies! I don't even know which kinds we have here. But I do recognize the Monarch. I should keep an eye out.
