I don't want to hear you say that you can't read picture books anymore because your kids are grown. Read them anyway. Everyone knows the best books are picture books.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
Beautiful montage of new children's books Deb. I have Zonia - a beautiful Earth Day treasure. Will review it in a bit.
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to hear more about it, Diane.
DeleteThere are so many picture books that are wonderful, be it because of the text or because of the gorgeous illustrations. I love Ruth Brown and many others whose name I just can't remember now (but I could recognize the covers !). I also remember fondly "The mousehole cat" that I read after I came back from... Mousehole ! I also adore Babette Cole because she makes me laugh and a couple of albums I read to my kids when they were little :)
ReplyDeleteMousehole Cat is a book I found through 1001 Children's Books.
DeleteI 100% agree on continuing to read picture books! I actually have a stack to pick up at the library today -- research for a book I'm writing.
ReplyDeleteHappy I'm not the only grownup who loves picture books.
DeleteThere are so many gorgeous picture books about.

ReplyDeleteThat's a colorful collection. You've got some fun reading ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a chance to read them all. Picture books are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI recently saw another post with picture books and between that and this... I think I need to find me some picture books. You are so right. You are never too old and these books all look amazing! I hope you get to and enjoy them all!!

ReplyDeleteHave fund reading them.
My TTT.
They are all books that have been/will be published in 2021.
DeleteAaaah, that's why I don't know any of them. I'm completely out of the loop. I'll have to read about them. Thanks.
DeleteThese all look great! Fred Gets Dressed and Eyes that Kiss in the Corners particularly catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteThese look fun. I love anything with dogs and cats... :)
ReplyDeleteI took a picture book, a counting book from your little free library today and put it in mine. It was Five on the Bed, and it is sooooo good.
ReplyDeleteIt was a Cybils nominee. So glad you are enjoying it.
DeleteI know I CAN read picture books even though my kids are too old for them, but I DON'T read them. I should! Maybe when I have grandkids I'll read more of them. Enjoy these!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
So many pretty covers here definitely make me want to pick these up and check out the pictures inside. I'm especially drawn to Eyes that Kiss in the Corners and The Tree in Me.
