A Second Snow in 2018

I can hear you folks in Colorado and Chicago snickering. Okay, okay, it probably wouldn't even count in most places, but this is the Texas Gulf Coast, guys, and it was our second snowfall in one winter.

I'm counting it.

  1. You should count it and I totally understand. Was this in the last few days or the one a bit back? We didn't get snow and sleet here (or not much), but when it does come, it's not a good thing. No one here can cope or it doesn't seem so. Ha! Mostly on the roads. People are crazy there.

  2. This was in early 2018. People up north laugh, but we have to close schools and businesses for a snow like this. No one knows how to get around in it.

  3. We would definitely count that here in Arkansas. LOL I am hoping we get the snow on Friday that they've been teasing us about all week. A couple months ago I bought boots and a base layer to go under my jeans so I am ALL SET for some snow!!!!

    1. It's very, very rare. I can count on my hands the times I've seen snow in my sixty-two years, with highlights being a startling white Christmas and last winter's double dip of snows.

  5. I'm not sure I would have even noticed! LOL. But for you, that's a different story.

  6. Normally I'd join in and chuckle but we've had one real snow and some other laughable smatterings. Yesterday was the first time I remember them talking about windchill so we've been pretty lucky. Great icicle photo, I haven't been able to get any and that's a good thing.

    1. The icicles were the most impressive thing about the little snow.

  7. If we even got one day like that it would be headline news here in southern California. 2 in Gulf Coast Texas seems like a big deal.

    1. Yes, even with climate change, it doesn't seem likely in SoCal.

  8. That's the snow we have here too, except last year, there was more. I hate snow and cold weather I think I am born on the wrong side of the planet !!

    1. Many, many people come to Texas after spending an awful lot of years in the cold, including my own grandparents.

  13. We don't get ANY snow here, unless you count the occasional brief snowfall every few years, with flakes drifting to the ground and melting almost as fast as they've fallen.

Of course we get it in the mountains nearby. Here are MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOTS
