Pizza School: A Kids' Cookbook for Aspiring Pizza Makers

I've had a plethora of cookbooks arrive lately. The latest to cross my door is Pizza School: A Kids' Cookbook for Aspiring Pizza Makers.

I decided to try it out. I started with Super Simple Pizza Dough.

I made a double recipe. I didn't need to. A single recipe was just enough for two 13-inch pizzas.

Then I made Super Easy Red Sauce.

I blended a can of tomatoes with fresh garlic, fresh basil, salt, and pepper.

I made two pizzas. One was made with fresh bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and ham. The other was ham and pineapple.

Easy. Inexpensive. Fun. Even a child could do this.

  2. Your pizzas look yummy. I struggle with yeast so I wonder if mine would turn out as well.

  5. We love homemade pizza and make it often. Yours look awesome!

Our favorite crust: 3 cups AP flour, 1/4 cup coarse-ground cornmeal, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 cup water (and a bit more if necessary), 2 teaspoons yeast -- I usually make three thin crust pizzas with this, though you could make 2 thicker ones. This will also be enough for a single "slab" pizza.
