Puzzled Books

Anne over at My Head is Full of Books has been doing puzzles lately. She put together this one from Ideal Bookshelf and was inspired to create a little tag based on the labels. Wendy at Falconer's Library tried her version of the tag here. Why not? I thought.

  • Unforgettable Book: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption
  • Book a Friend Gave Me: A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
  • Book that Gives Me Happy Tears: Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
  • Book I Read Again and Again:  The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
  • Book I'd Grab to Save From a Fire: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
  • Best Book I've Ever Read: Moby Dick by Herman Melville
  • Childhood Favorite Book: A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle
  • Book That Makes Me Look Smart: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
  • Book That Makes Me Laugh Out Loud: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Williams
  • Super Fantastic Book:  Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry
  • Book I Never Finished: War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (though I'm trying to read it now)

  5. Thanks for playing along. I agree that UNBROKEN is an unforgettable book. What an inspiring story. I weep when I read WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS. It is such a treasure of a book. I used to love THE GOOD EARTH. I should read it again. I just read a description of MOBY DICK that made me want to read it now this, your favorite book. Did you read it with a class? I'm afraid I'd bog down in it. A WRINKLE IN TIME was one of my favorites from childhood, too. Though I didn't like it as much when I reread it to my kids when they were little. As you know, I am reading LONESOME DOVE right now. Loving it.

  7. LOVE your choices and especially agree with funniest laugh out loud book, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, and my favorite book is A Wrinkle in Time even though I read it as an adult. I also read Charlotte's Web for the first time as an adult.
